Oakey State High School’s tuckshop is run by the Parents and Citizens Association and operates Monday to Friday each week from 8:30am to 2:00pm.
A Smart Choices strategy is in place in Education Queensland schools and the tuckshop complies with the guidelines to address the nutritional value of food and drinks. Students enjoy the convenience of EFTPOS or cash and are able to pre order before school or order in person at first break and second break. we encourage students to make healthy eating choices, therefore, the tuckshop provides a wide selection of healthy eats to suit everyone’s tastes.
During the breaks, if you need a light snack to get you through or a hunger buster meal to stop a growling stomach, your tuckshop has a wide selection suited to the individual’s needs and wants. Come and make a selection from the menu and experience the friendly and helpful service of the Convener and team of Volunteers, but remember to bring your manners, it makes you a pleasant person that is liked and respected.
Volunteers are always welcome and required to assist in the school tuckshop. Helping at the tuckshop gives you the opportunity to:
• meet other parents and members of the teaching staff,
• interact with your child and their peers at school,
• become familiar with school organisation, and
• provide students with nutritious food at a very reasonable cost.
Oakey State High School encourages Mums, Dads and/or family members to ‘get on board’ and not to miss a great opportunity to participate in the school community.
