Oakey State High School

Oakey State High School, located in the centre of the Darling Downs, is a coeducational secondary school with an enrolment of more than 500 students from years 7 to 12 and a proud record of providing quality education since 1964.

Our school caters for the individual needs, abilities and interests of our students. We have a highly qualified and dedicated staff who are focused on providing a diverse curriculum, and recognise the importance of academic subjects as preparation for tertiary entrance.

In the field of vocational education and training, Oakey State High School has set a state benchmark for innovation. Our school provides a wide range of nationally accredited courses in conjunction with school based apprenticeships and traineeships catering for our students' needs and interests. In 2017 and 2018 Oakey High students won back to back titles for Queensland School-based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year - an outstanding achievement. 

Our students of Oakey State High School have an impressive record of academic, cultural and sporting successes. In 2018, 92% of our students earned OP 1-15, and 100% of our students attained a Queensland Certificate of Education.

Microsoft Office 365​ is available for downloading and installing as part of the subscription plans of Microsoft Office 365. Students get Office 365 Education for free, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, and classroom tools.​
