P&C Presidents Report 2024

2024 has been a milestone year for the P&C and Oakey SHS. Our new Multipurpose Hall was completed and officially opened in conjunction with the schools 60^th Anniversary.  The Hall's journey started 3 years ago on the 25 May 2020 by the P&C President (Mrs Sharon Federoff) writing letters to all levels of politics to source funding. The Hall is a facility that is appreciated and used by all at Oakey SHS and available to the broader community.

Throughout this year the P&C has purchased new graduation gifts for our graduating Year 12's, sponsored the opening of the Multipurpose Hall along with the 60^th Anniversary, Awards Night and Year 12 Graduation and Formal. We purchased new kitchen appliances for the Hall thanks to a grant from New Acland Coal Community Investment Fund. The P&C have been actively applying for grants throughout the year.

Another successful year for the Tuckshop. Thank you, to our Tuckshop Convenor and Volunteers.  The Tuckshop always welcomes volunteers so if you can spare a few hours a week it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank my fellow Executives Mrs Lisa Milne (Secretary) Mrs Nicole Clifford (Treasurer) and Mr Nigel Knight (Vice President) for their support and endless hours as a volunteer. To our Members, Mrs Carey Krahenbring (Tuckshop Convenor), school staff and the community thank you to your support throughout the year.

The P&C is a welcoming community group who is always looking for new members and ideas. Looking forward to seeing new and old faces in the upcoming year.
