New acting principal for Oakey State High School

20/08/2014

Our Acting Principal, Mrs Tracy Tully, commenced her administrative role here at Oakey State High at the start of Semester 2. Mrs Tully brings with her an energy and enthusiasm for young people and their education, and vast experience in secondary schools around Queensland. Mrs Tully has spent considerable time in western Queensland, and more recently at Centenary Heights State High School in Toowoomba.

Keen to explore additional subjects to offer Oakey students, Mrs Tully is also enthusiastic about the possibilities for evening classes for the wider community. Impressed by the facilities here at Oakey, she sees great potential in engaging  parents and members of the wider community in educational opportunities – to gain additional formal qualifications, or just for their own personal fulfillment. Education is a lifelong process, and not confined to under 19 year olds.

Welcome to our school Mrs Tully. We look forward to working in partnership with you in the education of our students, as you come to know more about our region, our young people, our parents and carers, and our community.
